What are HTML viruses? |
Also known as active content attacks or browser attacks, HTML attacks are aimed at those who use web browsers or HTML-enabled email clients to read their mail. Such attacks tend to use the scripting features of HTML, or of the email client, to illicitly execute code on the PC, or to acquire private information from the recipient's computer. These viruses do not require user intervention in order to be activated. |

Why am I not receiving certain emails from users with whom I had no problems receiving emails before? |
Both the Postini and SpamWeeder systems are designed to check, amongst other things, certain keywords. Hence, if you are not receiving an email from a particular user, the best recommendation is to add the sender's domain name in the "Whitelist" or Approved Senders list in your Message Center or User Parameters to ensure you receive all emails from the user. |

I suspect spam messages are coming through my second priority MX record used for Mail Bagging. |
A second priority MX record allows the Webservio Mail Bagging system to work. At times, spammers use different MX records randomly to spam. If your mail server is receiving large amounts of spam, we recommend our Email Defense solution which is an anti-spam/virus filtering system combined with the Mail Bagging solution. Must I set up the Postini users for my domain myself? |
No. Although you, as the system administrator, do have the access to add new users to your account, you can have us do it for you upon initial setup. All we need is for you to send an excel sheet of all the addresses that will be protected with the Postini solution. The users must be formatted as user@domain.com. The other alternative is to enable the smart create option which will progressively recognize legitimate users and categorize them as such. Additional fees for user creation by Webservio Support team will be charged.

Can I include domain or user aliases in my Postini account? |
Yes. Depending on the plan you select, you may have the ability to add up to four domains as aliases so that all of your users at your primary domain and your aliased domain will be covered by premium anti-spam service. You also have the ability to add an alias to your individual users. If you do not see a plan that will fit your alias needs, please contact sales@webservio.com. |

If one of my email users is not created in my Postini account, will that address continue to receive mail or will it be blocked? |
You can manage a setting called Non-Account Bouncing which, if turned on, will bounce back all messages sent to addresses not listed in your SpamWeeer account. Since messages sent to non-users will be blocked by the system, Non-Account Bouncing will relieve the load on your mail server produced by non-user spam attacks. On the reverse side of this, by turning this option off email will get through to your users who are not listed in your spam prevention account. |

We get messages from all over the world. Will Postini filter out our valid emails from other countries? |
The Postini Solution should not block emails just because the addresses are from other parts of the world. If you think a legitimate message was not allowed into your mail server, you can always retrieve that message from your email quarantine. You may also turn the Blatant Spam Blocking option off if you believe that emails form certain countries are, by default, considered blatant spam. |
How will users know when they have email in their message quarantine? |
The domain administrator can select how often users receive email notifications of activity in their mail queue. This notification option may be set anywhere from one to 10 days. |
Are there any instructions available to me for operating the user and administrator Postini accounts? |
We have a quicksheet of instructions to familiarize the users and admins with the functions of their Web-based accounts.

Does the Postini anti-spam solution increase the time or risk for sending out email? |
Not at all. In fact, an email is typically sent through seven to eight intermediaries as it travels to the recipient. Our anti-spam service only adds one additional millisecond intermediary in this journey and neither delays the mail nor adds any risk to it. |
